For Teachers and Students
CAMINO BUSINESS and SCHOOLS ENTERPRISE PROJECT
Camino will illustrate to students and teachers in schools and colleges, the basic skills required to start and develop any business, whilst also teaching transferable personal skills that can be used in any work place or organisation.
This project will be a route to business engagement and will develop a philosophy of developing business and enterprise skills throughout schools and colleges. We also coach the teachers and lecturers on the basic rules of business and explain the benefits of enterprise for everyone within the school environment. We show how to introduce business and enterprise into other subjects, develop customer service and we also show the benefits of developing emotional intelligence within the entire school environment.
The Camino project will ensure that the students enjoy the learning process, whilst it will equip them with the relevant skills to help make the students more employable for life after school or college.
At Camino we do not expect to see our students come with the same background, knowledge, skills or experiences. We see Camino developing and fulfilling the different needs of each and every student.
The project will help inspire and mentor young adults in schools and colleges to develop their own REAL business ideas and then create a REAL business opportunity for the young adults to take in to adult life.
The project will inspire young adults and show them that they CAN succeed, no matter what background they have come from. We will achieve this by ensuring that successful local businesses and mentors are introduced in to schools and colleges, to inspire young adults in to thinking in an entrepreneurial way and explain how and why they have succeeded.
Listed are some of the business skills that we will develop in the project. These will be taught in a basic language form that can be understood by all levels of academia.

How are we going to achieve this?
The main tools for this project will be:
- The use of an intranet site that will include all the necessary information, knowledge and presentations, for any school or college to use on a regular basis. These presentations will be in a form that allows our business coaches and the teachers to develop this project in the time allocated in any school timetable
- During the project we will also create a “vehicle” of a real business within the school or college that the young adults can take ownership of. This will help ensure that business and the enterprise is taught in a real and practical way. The young adults can then decide which projects will receive any profits made for the “business”
- We will provide an interactive teaching course. We will teach the subjects as above in a straight forward way with no jargon
- We provide a business coaching and training course to head teachers and teachers
- Besides the course we can also provide business competition days which are Based on the “Apprentice” TV programme
- We will provide business mentors to assist with the project. These will be entrepreneurs that have already worked for themselves or managed large organisations. They will be able to inspire the children in the schools to think of business as being a way of having a successful career, whilst also helping students with any other chosen career. Some are willing to be part of a “buddy” system to continuously help the student’s career
